Watched Golmaal Returns sometime back and I felt that it was worth. Not only that movie but something MORE than that. Ek teer do nishan you can say. Paisa Vasool…
. After some ads on the screen, it was this surprising clip (never even thought that this would be played) and then the movie. I don’t know if this clip is played in all the theaters/multiplexes (coz I rarely visit one), but this was played in the multiplex at my place. From the time the doors opened for the matinee show, till the said clip started, the environment was no way less than a fish/vegetable market. I was feeling like, “god…. where have I come???”
Then this sentence was flashed on the screen. ‘Please stand up to pay a tribute to the Indian Army’, not an exact phrase but meant something like this. Now I request you all to stand up and read. I am sure nearly half the population there din know to read English there, but everyone stood up at that moment. Pin drop silence. The clip started showing the MEN at the border, at various locations, in extreme climatic conditions, holding our National Flag proudly. Frankly speaking I wished I too were there holding our Flag. Such an emotional moment it was. To add to this the patriotic music was melting my heart. Eyes brimmed with tears. Got too emotional. Now this is too much, as I am writing this, the same problem.. tears… Even during school days when I participated in programs on Independence Day/ Republic day, and any patriotic song would be played, I would not show my face to anyone…. What to do, moistened eyes. Thought “friends will laugh at me”. Me emotional, hubby toh double emotional. Be it such scenes or the movie which has even little rona, he never even thinks of watching it. Well after this movie, couldn’t show my face to my sis too who was beside me then. Dad though not interested when asked for the movie came with us and was too satisfied looking at what our REAL HEROES do. After all he too has seen life of them when he served sometime for the Indian Army during his NCC days.
Oh yes… by the way… you people can take your seats

Welcome back!
I would not say ‘Golmaal Returns’ is a good movie but some of the scenes were funny. I liked the Shreyas and Tushar fight and the Ajay-Celina TV scenes in particular.
Golmaal Returns — not a paisa waool — u emotional and ur hubby double emotional .. thats cool
Good to read ur blog after long time
Hey Preeti…I know what you mean…Although I am pretty successful in not getting too emotional but there are times when you do get a lump in throat when you see very patriotic scenes…I wonder why…
You didnt say anything about the movie! Hehe..:P
